Saving money is a good thing. Times like these, we can never be too sure about the economy, so it’s best to have some funds set aside for the rainy days. I experienced the brunt of the recent economic downfall, so after things got better, I decided to spend my money wisely. I figured that living a spartan life would be a much better option than becoming surprised again by lay offs and rising prices of basic commodities and gas.

I started by trimming down my credit card expenses. Made less frequent trips to restaurants and bars and prepared my meals at home, instead. I also dropped the all designer brand shopping habit that I had. Instead, I bought still high quality and still in fashion clothes from regular malls. It wasn’t half bad really, and the savings I’ve made since last year is really huge!

Finally, I’m a techie freak. I used to spend so much on the latest cellphones and PDAs and notebooks. But now I’ve learned my lesson. A friend had pointed me to a great online site that sells high quality used cellphones at uber discounted prices! I could not believe it at first, a still great looking and perfectly working smartphone for only a fraction of the cost. It’s not bad at all, check out the iPhone I’ve bought!
